DESCRIPTION

In the first episode of BRT TV, we go behind the scenes with Walmart, Johnson & Johnson, Walgreens and Honeywell for a look at the private sector’s COVID-19 response from the perspectives of four of America’s leading CEOs whose businesses stepped up during the crisis. Hear how they expanded capacity to deliver masks, leaned on research and development to create solutions and tapped into worker ingenuity to vaccinate millions of Americans. It is the story of the business community’s effort to combat COVID-19, end the public health crisis and safely rebuild a prosperous and more equitable economy.

Business Roundtable’s “Move the Needle" campaign captures the business community’s efforts to increase vaccine uptake by communicating with employees and customers directly, supporting public education campaigns and providing resources to businesses of all sizes across the country. Business Roundtable companies have been “moving the needle” by producing, distributing and administering the vaccine, and by addressing barriers to vaccination by providing paid time off and other incentives for employees to get vaccinated. America’s business leaders will continue working toward ending the COVID-19 pandemic and reinvigorating the U.S. economy. Together, we all can “Move the Needle” and defeat the pandemic.

Move the Needle
From the earliest days of the pandemic until now, Business Roundtable CEOs have kept key services up and running and continued to use their expertise and capabilities to help end the pandemic. Salesforce developed technology and platforms to help cities and states organize for distributing vaccinations and facilitated the delivery of PPE to America from overseas early in the pandemic, and more recently, to India. Ford manufactured and donated 120 million masks for communities and organizations with limited access to personal protective equipment. Pfizer’s development of a COVID-19 vaccine and additional therapeutics continues to save lives. Abbott’s quick and effective testing solutions have helped Americans stay safe in schools, workplaces and homes.
